FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS
How quickly do your bookings fill up?
We generally have availability for drop-in visits, but overnight care tends to fill up very quickly. Bookings are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend reaching out as soon as possible to secure overnight dates.
If you’re planning a vacation or trip, it’s best to contact us sooner rather than later!
How do I check your availability?
The easiest way to check availability is by visiting the “Availability” tab on the website. There you’ll find a quick overview of available months, times when we may be out of town, and when we are nearing overnight capacity.
After checking the calendar, send a message with the specific dates you need pet sitting services. We typically respond within 48 hours.
Drop-in visits are offered 24/7, and we can often accommodate last-minute requests when availability allows. We also occasionally post updates on social media regarding availability, so be sure to follow our Instagram and Facebook pages to stay up to date!
What is your preferred method of receiving payment?
Venmo is preferred! If you prefer to use cash or check, we ask that you leave payment on the counter so that we don’t need to meet up after the booking.
How do i (the client) prepare for your stay?
You’ll complete an online form with your pets’ care instructions and emergency information, which we’ll reference during the stay.
To help everything run smoothly, we greatly appreciate:
Clear notes for routines or special instructions
Labeled food, medications, and supplies
Clean bedding and a towel for sitter use
WiFi information and any necessary home details
Ensuring there is enough food, medications, treats, litter, and all necessary supplies for the entire stay
A little preparation goes a long way in helping us focus fully on your pets! Thanks!
How do you get into my house?
Send us your door/garage codes and they will stay locked in our phones for reference. If we need a key to get into your house, please give this to us during the meet and greet, or hide it outside to retrieve upon arrival.
Do you charge for meet and greets before a booking?
We do not charge for an initial 30 minute meet and greet before new client bookings! For new house sitting clients, a meet and greet is required. For new drop-in clients, meet and greets are not required as this is often a last minute service.
If you feel like you need longer than 30 minutes, or if an additional meet and greet is necessary, this will cost the price of a drop-in visit ($25/30 min $35/1 hr.).
Do you charge extra if my pets require meds?
We do not charge an additional fee if your pets have special needs or require medicine! We include this service within the pricing of regular services.
What safety precautions do you take?
Keeping your pets safe is our number one priority, on top of creating special bonds with each of your pets. Here are a few things we do to ensure your pets are safe in our care:
No dog parks. While your pup may be wonderful, the unpredictability of unfamiliar dogs can create unsafe situations.
Leashed walks only, unless your dog is safely walking on your private property.
Monitoring feeding and activity. We limit intense play before and after meals to reduce the risk of bloat.
Temperature awareness. When weather conditions are too hot or too cold, we provide alternative enrichment instead of long outdoor activity.
Sanitation between visits. Because we care for many pets, we wash and sanitize between visits to help prevent the spread of illness.
What happens if there is an emergency?
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always our top priority. In the event of a medical emergency, we will first attempt to contact you. If you cannot be reached, we will contact your emergency contact, and your preferred veterinarian/nearest emergency clinic and follow their medical guidance. We will always keep you updated and informed every step of the way!
